What is the LinkedIn SSI score?

The LinkedIn SSI score, short for Social Selling Index, is a 0 to 100 number LinkedIn built as a benchmark for how effectively someone uses LinkedIn for social selling. It is the sum of four pillars, each worth up to 25 points:

  • Establish your professional brand: a complete profile and content that shows what you know.

  • Find the right people: searching for and reaching the people you actually want to work with.

  • Engage with insights: commenting on, sharing and reacting to relevant posts.

  • Build relationships: growing trusted connections with the right people.

How to check your real SSI score

Only LinkedIn can show your actual score. Go to linkedin.com/sales/ssi while signed in. The dashboard shows your total, the four pillar scores, and how you rank against people in your industry and in your network. Guides that track it report that it updates daily.

This page cannot read your account and never asks you to connect it. It is a self-check you answer yourself, built on the same four pillars and the same 25-point split.

How the self-check scores you

There are 20 statements, 5 per pillar. Answer Yes for 5 points, Partly for 2.5 and No for 0, so each pillar tops out at 25 and the total at 100, the same shape as the real dashboard. The questions describe habits, not secret signals: a clear headline, regular posts, targeted searches, thoughtful comments, personal notes on invitations.

Your result will not match LinkedIn's number exactly, because LinkedIn measures your actual activity and we can only measure your answers. What it will show is which pillar is weakest and which habits would lift it.

What is a good LinkedIn SSI score?

LinkedIn does not publish an official benchmark, and third-party guides disagree. Cleverly, for example, puts the typical score around 30 to 40 and says many B2B sellers aim for 65 or more. LinkedIn itself has cooled on the number: its Sales Navigator page now says SSI no longer reflects the modern sales environment well and tells sellers to ease the pressure around it. So treat it as a habit tracker, not a grade.

For the brand pillar, the free LinkedIn headline analyzer and LinkedIn profile analyzer show what your profile says at a glance. For the relationships pillar, the connection message generator helps with the personal note.

Two of the four pillars are a content habit

Look closely and half the score comes down to two things: posting content that shows what you know, and engaging with other people's posts. Both are weekly habits that are easy to drop. VoiceMoat is a Personal Brand OS that keeps them going. audenAI, the brain inside VoiceMoat, learns from your own posts and drafts LinkedIn posts and comments in your voice, and the Chrome extension drafts comments right inside LinkedIn, next to the post you are reading.
