Reply on X without leaving X.

The VoiceMoat extension overlays a reply coach on every tweet. Pick a tone, get a draft in your voice, ship through your own session. No copy-paste, no API, no bouncing between tabs.

Hot take: AI writing tools are commoditizing "good content." The only moat left is having something actually worth saying.

The moat isn't having something worth saying. It's being recognizable while you say it. Voice → retention → audience.

What it does

Four things that make it not feel like a bolt-on.

The whole extension is in service of one thing: a recognizable reply, in two seconds, without leaving the tweet.

Reply Coach

Replies in your voice, in context.

Auden reads the parent tweet and writes a reply tuned to it, in your trained voice. No more dropping into the dashboard, copying back, and losing the thread.

12 tone presets

Pick the angle in one click.

Witty, thoughtful, contrarian, story, roast, and eight more. Each one rewrites the same draft through a different angle so you can pick the take that matches the moment.

3 variants per click

Never settle for the first draft.

Hit re-roll and Auden generates three alternates for the same tone. Different hooks, different angles, same voice. Pick the one that feels right and ship.

Voice is the only thing that compounds in a feed of LLMs.
Recognizability beats correctness. Every time.

Voice profile auto-syncs

Train once on the dashboard.

Sign in to the extension and it pulls your active voice profile from the dashboard. Retrain on voicemoat.com and the new profile lights up in the extension on the next reply.

How it works

Three steps. None of them are setup.

The extension reads your existing dashboard session. There is no second account, no API keys, no configuration screen.

  1. 1

    Install in 10 seconds

Open the Chrome Web Store listing, click Add to Chrome, approve the permissions prompt. The extension lands in your toolbar. No account creation, no setup wizard.

  2. 2

    Sign in with one click

Click the VoiceMoat icon in your toolbar. If you are already signed in to voicemoat.com in another tab, the extension picks up your session automatically. Otherwise it opens the login flow.

  3. 3

Hover any tweet, ship a reply

A small VoiceMoat button overlays every reply box on x.com. Click it, pick a tone, and the reply lands in the native textarea. Edit before you send. Post when it sounds right.

Permissions, plainly

The Chrome prompt is intimidating. Here is what it actually means.

You have to grant some permissions for an extension to work inside x.com. We try to ask for the minimum, and to be specific about why we need each one.

What we ask for

And exactly why we need it.

The Chrome install prompt shows you these. Here is the plain-English version.

  • Read x.com pages

Required so Reply Coach can read the tweet you are replying to. Without context, replies sound generic.

  • Storage

Stores your auth token locally so you stay signed in across browser sessions. Nothing else.

  • Background scripts

Refresh your auth token on a timer (so you do not get logged out mid-reply) and pace the reply queue (so you do not trip x.com rate limits).

  • Twitter session cookies

Read-only. Used to enable reply posting through your own session. Never stored, never transmitted to VoiceMoat servers.

What we don't do

The lines we refuse to cross.

Just as important as what the permissions enable. Here is what they don't.

  • Auto-post tweets without an explicit click from you.
  • Read your DMs.
  • Track your browsing outside x.com.
  • Send your tweets, drafts, or session data to any third party.
  • Train AI models on your content.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most.

Anything missing? Email founder@voicemoat.com.

01How is this different from the dashboard composer?
The composer lives at voicemoat.com and is built for original posts. The extension lives inside x.com and is built for replies. Same voice profile, same Auden under the hood. Different surface, different job. Most creators use both.
02Does it count against my plan?
Yes. Replies generated through the extension draw from the same daily reply cap as the dashboard. The extension popup shows your remaining replies for the day so you never get a surprise.
03What if I am already signed in to voicemoat.com?
The extension picks up your existing dashboard session automatically. Click the toolbar icon, hit Sign in, and the tab that opens reads your session and closes itself. No password re-entry, no second login.
04Does it work on Firefox, Edge, or Brave?
Edge and Brave work today (both are Chromium browsers, the same store listing installs cleanly). Firefox is on the roadmap but not yet supported. If you reply primarily on Firefox, email founder@voicemoat.com so we can prioritize.
05Why does the extension need cookies?
Reply posting goes through your own logged-in x.com session, not the Twitter API. That bypasses Twitter v2 reply restrictions and per-call costs. The cookies are read only, never stored, and never transmitted to VoiceMoat servers.
06How do I uninstall?
Open chrome://extensions in a new tab, find VoiceMoat for X, click Remove. Removing the extension does not affect your dashboard, voice profiles, or saved drafts. You can reinstall any time and your voice profile reactivates automatically.

Two seconds away from a better reply.

Install once, sign in once, and the next tweet you reply to gets the full Auden treatment. No new habits to learn.
