1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, analytics identifiers) to keep you signed in, understand how the product is used, and process payments. We do not use them for advertising.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

Sign-in and session cookies set by Supabase, our authentication provider, keep you logged in and protect your session. They are set on app.voicemoat.com, where the VoiceMoat app runs. We also store your theme preference locally on your device. These are required for the product to work and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in.

In the app we also set a cookie that remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is open (7 days) and short-lived cookies while you connect a Twitter or LinkedIn account (10 minutes). If you use a free tool on this site, a signed visitor pass is kept in your browser's local storage to count your free runs so they cannot be abused. Your cookie choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage.

3. Analytics and performance

We use analytics to understand how the app and this site are used, so we can improve them. On this site they load through Google Tag Manager and follow your cookie choice:

• Google Analytics 4 measures traffic and usage. Until you choose “Accept”, it runs in Google Consent Mode's cookieless mode: it sends basic, anonymous signals and stores nothing on your device. After you accept, it sets identifier cookies (such as _ga). Inside the signed-in app it always runs.

• PostHog (hosted in the EU) runs on this site only after you choose “Accept”, recording page visits, clicks, heatmaps and session replay, with anything you type masked. It stores an identifier in your browser. Inside the signed-in app it always runs, measuring feature usage and recording sessions, linked to your account.

• Ahrefs Web Analytics and Framer's built-in analytics on this site, and Vercel Analytics in the app, are cookieless by design and do not store identifiers on your device.

4. Payments

When you start a checkout, Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, may set cookies needed to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are governed by Dodo Payments' own cookie and privacy policies.

5. What we don't do

We do not use advertising or cross-site ad-targeting cookies, we do not sell your data, and we never store private profile data about people who are not VoiceMoat users. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our privacy policy.

6. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the tools we use change. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
