Strategy
Who am I writing for?
Work out who is actually reading, from evidence, and turn it into the questions they are asking.
Why use it
Persona work usually produces a fictional person with a name, an age, a job title and a preferred coffee, none of which changes a single sentence of a single post. It feels like strategy and it is set dressing.
What it does
It works from three sources: who engages rather than who follows, what people say in comments and messages in their own wording, and which subjects landed. Then it writes the result as a list of the questions this person is asking, phrased the way they phrase them, because that is the part that changes the writing.
What you get
- A clear line between what you can know and what you cannot, so guesses never get written down
- Six to ten real questions in the reader's own wording
- Their vocabulary for the problem set next to yours, which is usually the whole problem
- An honest statement of how thin the evidence is, and what would firm it up
What it will not do
It will not produce demographics, because neither platform hands them over at the level of an individual reader and inventing them is how a persona becomes a stereotype with a slide. It will not invent a named character either.
What changes when VoiceMoat is connected
Every step here is evidence work, which is the case where a connected account replaces guessing outright rather than merely improving it.
get_analyticsShows which subjects actually landed, in rate rather than raw count, so a heavy month does not masquerade as a strong topic.list_postsReturns the posts behind those numbers, so the grouping runs on the real set rather than on the memorable ones.get_voice_insightsShows the patterns in what you publish, which is what lets you set your vocabulary against theirs.

The connector needs a Pro or Enterprise plan. It works the same way in Claude and in ChatGPT, on both Twitter and LinkedIn.
