Narrow my niche
Narrow a niche along the axis that suits you, and name the cost before you commit to it.
Why use it
Most niche advice stops at going narrower, which is not actionable because it never says narrower along which axis. People then narrow the subject, lose interest in three weeks, and conclude that niching does not work for them.
What it does
It starts from what you have already published rather than from intentions, which is the step that surprises people. Then it offers three axes instead of one: subject, audience, and stage. Pricing is broad. Pricing for agencies is narrower on audience. Pricing for agencies about to hire their first employee is narrower on stage, and a reader now knows in one line whether it is them.
What you get
- The split of what you actually write about, read back from published posts
- Three axes to narrow along, not one, so the choice fits how you work
- The fifty-posts test, run on the spot rather than in the abstract
- The cost named out loud, which is what decides whether the choice survives
What it will not do
It will not pick for you, because the axis that works is the one you can sustain for a year and nobody can tell that from outside. It will not promise growth either. A narrower account is easier to describe and easier to recommend, which is the honest claim.
What changes when VoiceMoat is connected
The first step is only as good as its evidence, and most people run it from memory, which is exactly how they ended up believing they write about something they do not.
get_voice_insightsReturns the subjects and patterns actually present in what you have published, which is the grouping step done from data.get_analyticsShows which of those groups your audience responded to, in rate rather than raw count, so a niche is not chosen on volume alone.get_post_ideasRuns the fifty-posts test properly by generating inside the candidate niche, so you find out now whether it has any depth.
Power up with VoiceMoat
The connector needs a Pro or Enterprise plan. It works the same way in Claude and in ChatGPT, on both Twitter and LinkedIn.
