Paste a long LinkedIn link and this LinkedIn URL shortener makes a short one on a VoiceMoat domain that sends people straight to it. First, the honest part: you cannot create lnkd.in links yourself (LinkedIn makes them on its own inside posts), and inside a post you may not need a shortener at all.
Profiles, posts, company pages, events, newsletters and articles. Only LinkedIn links are accepted.
audenAI drafts LinkedIn posts in your voice from your own content, so the profile your link opens is worth the visit.

three steps
Long link in, short link out.
What lnkd.in is, honestly
lnkd.in is LinkedIn's own link shortener, launched in 2010. Today it works on its own: LinkedIn's help center says that when you share a link longer than 26 characters, LinkedIn shortens it once you click Post. Bitly's support team adds that those shortened links use the lnkd.in domain, and that the 26 characters include the domain and punctuation.
What you cannot do is make one yourself. There is no public lnkd.in shortener. Visiting lnkd.in sends you to LinkedIn's homepage, and LinkedIn's help article offers no way to create shortened links or switch the feature off. So any tool that promises "lnkd.in links" is either pasting your link into LinkedIn or making links on its own domain. This one makes links on a VoiceMoat domain, and says so.
When a LinkedIn URL shortener helps
Off LinkedIn: slides, printed material, an email signature, a bio on another platform, or a QR code. Our LinkedIn QR code generator pairs well with a short link.
Long post and event links: LinkedIn post URLs carry a long slug, an ID and often tracking parameters. A short link is easier to read aloud or type.
Inside a LinkedIn post, only if it is short enough: a link of 26 characters or fewer stays as you typed it. Anything longer becomes lnkd.in anyway, so check the length before you rely on it.
How to shorten your LinkedIn profile URL for free
For your own profile you do not need a shortener. LinkedIn lets you set a custom public profile URL, so linkedin.com/in/your-name replaces the default string of letters and numbers. LinkedIn's rules:
Length: 3 to 100 characters, with no spaces, symbols, special characters or the word LinkedIn.
Case does not matter: JohnSmith and johnsmith point to the same profile.
Changes are limited: up to five times within six months.
Your old URL stays linked to you for six months unless you unlink it.
To change it on desktop, open your profile, click the edit icon next to Public profile and URL, edit the URL and save. A clean custom URL is short, permanent and costs nothing. Use a short link for everything else: posts, events, company pages, newsletters.
Clean the link before you shorten it
Links copied from LinkedIn often end in tracking parameters such as ?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop. They are not needed to open the page, so this tool removes them before it shortens. While you are tidying your profile, the LinkedIn headline generator helps with the first line people see when they land, and the LinkedIn post inspector shows how any shared link will look as a card.
A short link opens the door. Your content keeps people there.
Short links send people to your profile and posts. What they find decides whether they follow. VoiceMoat is a Personal Brand OS for that part: audenAI, the brain inside VoiceMoat, learns from your own content and drafts LinkedIn posts in your voice, so the profile your link opens shows a steady run of posts that sound like you.
