What TweepCred actually is

TweepCred is a reputation score, roughly 0 to 100, that Twitter computes with a PageRank-style pass over the follow graph. Accounts that credible accounts follow inherit some of that credibility. The 2023 algorithm release documented the shape of it, and a score around 65 is a known threshold: below it, the algorithm counts fewer of your followers. It is not the whole ranking, but it is a real input, which is why the levers are worth knowing.

How to raise it (slowly, honestly)

  • Follow ratio. Following far more than follow you back drags the score. Trim, or earn the follow-backs.
  • Reach. Compounds slowly. Post consistently in one lane so the right people follow.
  • Standing. Strikes and spam-pattern behavior tank reputation. Stay clean.
  • Activity. Dormant accounts decay. Show up a few times a week.

Is this my real TweepCred score?
No, and any tool that claims to show your exact number is guessing. The real score uses the full follow-graph PageRank that only X can compute. This is an honest estimate from the public factors you can actually see and enter.
What is the 65 threshold?
In the documented algorithm, an account below roughly 65 TweepCred has the number of its followers discounted when the system ranks its content. Clearing 65 means your full follower graph counts.
What factors affect TweepCred?
The big ones are network reach and your follower-to-following ratio, then account age and standing, with Premium and activity as lighter documented modifiers. Following far more accounts than follow you back is a known drag.
Can I check someone else's TweepCred?
Yes. The estimate only uses public stats you type in, so you can enter another account's followers, following, age, and so on to estimate where it lands against the 65 line.
Does X Premium raise my TweepCred?
Premium is a documented signal in the graph, but a light one (about 8% of the estimate here). It nudges the score; it does not rescue an account with weak reach or a poor follow ratio.
